6 Days Agadir Grand Tour

Best Southern Itinerary: 

Agadir Desert Tour 6 days/5 nights – Departure Agadir / Arrival Agadir

Day 1: Agadir » Taliouine » Taznakht » Ait Benhaddou » Ouarzazate.

Today we will pick you up from your hotel in Agadir then travel to the south east of Morocco via Taroudant and Taliouine. Enjoy the views of the plains of Souss with argan trees –you may see goats climbing these unique trees of Morocco. We will pass by Taliouine, this city is very famous with good quality Saffron. Stopping for lunch on the way then heading to the village of Ait benhaddou for a visit to the Kasbah which was a backdrop for many movies such as The gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. Later on we will head to the Ouarzazate where you will spend the night in hotel.

Day 2: Ouarzazate » El-Kelaâ M’Gouna » Boutghrar » Boumalne Dades » Todra Gorges.

This morning, after the breakfast in the hotel. We will leave Ouarzazate toward skoura and Kelaa m’gouna, a short visit to Kasbah of Amridil located in the oasis of skoura, later on we will pass by kalaa m’gouna to have lunch then take the trail of Boutghrar to visit one of the nomad families living in caves. We will continue our driving to dades gorges and see the rock formations. Later on we will head to todra gorges via Boumalne and tineghir. Overnight in a Kasbah.

Day 3: Todra Gorges » Tinejdad » Erfoud » Erg Chebbi  .

In the morning, you will hike/Walk on foot through this stunning place while enjoying the views of high rock walls (up to 300 meters). Later we will drive to Tinejdad or Touroug, a small berber village where you will have you lunch. Afterwards we will head to Erfoud and visit an industry of marble fossils as our region is very rich with fossils (ammonite and squids). After the visit and getting to know the fossils and the process of creating decorations, we will cross the off-road to reach the highest dunes of erg chebbi. Arrive to the auberge situated on the foot of the dunes. You will experience a camel ride to reach the desert camp in the middle of dunes where you will spend the night, enjoy your evening, dine under the stars and sleep in Nomad Berber tent.

Day 4: Merzouga » Tour Around Erg Chebbi Dunes

Waking up by the call of your guide very earlier to witness the sunrise then enjoying breakfast. You will trek back to your hotel where you can have hot shower and get ready for the excursion around Erg Chebbi dunes. This excursion gives you the opportunity to explore the surrounding desert by visiting the tiny villages such as Khamlia (village of black people who plays spiritual music of Gnawa) and fossil site in addition to a nomad Family. Visit the lake of Dayt Sarji that forms in spring time which attracts flocks of pink flamingos and wildlife. We will have a stop for lunch in the village of Hassi Lbied then back to your hotel for relax. Dinner and Overnight in the Auberge .

Day 5: Desert » Rissani » Alnif »Tazzarine » N’kob » Agdz

Today you will travel to Agdez via Rissani, Alnif, Tazzarine and N’kob. We will depart to Rissani, you will have a visit to Zawiya Moulay Ali ash-Sharif and you may also investigate the Souk (local market) with the opportunity to see the Fondouks where donkeys gather. Later on we will drive toward Alnif “home of trilobites” while enjoying the views of Anti Atlas mountains and hundreds of Acacia trees along the road. Stopping for lunch then continue to Tazzarine then N’kob. Later on we will drive along draa valley to reach Agdez. Overnight in hotel.

Day 6: Agdez » Taznakht » Taliouine » Agadir

This morning we will leave the small town of Agdz situated on the foot of Jbel Kissane Mountain. You will pass by Bou-Azzer (mine) then Taznakht, a village in the southern of Morocco famous with Berber carpets. We will cross Kourkouda passage the two passes of Tizi-n-Ikhsane (1650 m) and Tizi-n-Tighatine (1886 m) to reach the capital of Saffron Taliouine for a break for lunch. After lunch we will drive to Agadir. Arrive in Agadir and transfer to the hotel of your choice.
